The ALFA-tag is a novel, rationally designed epitope tag (SRLEEELRRRLTE) that forms a small and stable α-helix that is functional irrespective of its position on the target protein in prokaryotic and eukaryotic hosts. Different ALFA-tag based products like FluoTags, polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies and Selector resins are available.
Cat. No. N1584 |
100 µg purified recombinant IgG, lyophilized. Albumin was added for stabilization. For reconstitution add 100 µl H2O to get a 1mg/ml solution in PBS. Then aliquot and store at -20°C until use. |
Storage | –80°C for up to 12 month |

Clone | 1G5 |
Subtype | IgG |
Immunogen | Synthetic peptide corresponding to: SRLEEELRRRLTE (UniProt Id: not defined) |
Specificity | Specific for ALFA-tag |
Remarks |
This antibody is a chimeric construct consisting of the anti-ALFA single-domain antibody 1G5 genetically fused to guinea pig IgG Fc domain. It can be used in combination with standard anti-guinea pig secondary reagents binding the IgG Fc-domain. |
The ALFA-tag is a novel, rationally designed epitope tag (SRLEEELRRRLTE) that forms a small and stable α-helix that is functional irrespective of its position on the target protein in prokaryotic and eukaryotic hosts.
The ALFA-tag has the broadest spectrum of applications in life sciences compared to any other tag.
