Tbr2 also known as Eomesodermin is a T-domain transcription factor playing a crucial role during brain development (1). In the developing neocortex Tbr2 is upregulated during the transition from radial glia to to intermediate progenitor cells (2). Tbr2 disruption has shown its involvement in trophoblast differentiation and later in gastrulation (3). Furthermore, it functions in the differentiation of CD8+ T-cells during immune response (4).
